The customer doesn't have to learn a new billing format or translate from their paper bill to an electronic one. A recent study indicated more than 70% of billers felt it important that online documents look exactly like printed ones to ensure maximum return on improvements in customer service.
All billing and payment information is maintained online
We store all billing and payment information for customer accounts in a database so customers can make payments on any account for any charge. This also ensures that customers who want to get information about current or past bills can retrieve it from your eServices site without the need to contact a customer service agent.
The delivery and payment process are totally separate
With most EBPP solutions, if customers enroll for electronic delivery they are required to pay electronically. For bill payers concerned about placing payment information on the Internet, this is a problem. Thirty-two percent of consumers do not receive documents electronically because they are forced to pay electronically. At IPayX, we have alleviated this concern by separating the delivery and payment processes. Customers can choose to receive bills electronically and pay with a paper check, or they can receive their bill via paper and pay electronically. Of course, they can also choose to both receive and pay bills electronically.
Since the electronic bill is identical to the paper bill, the customer can print it and send the coupon portion in with a check.
All payment information, including lockbox fonts and other payment processing data, is properly rendered to ensure the payment is processed through the paper payment system. Optionally, you can permit customers continue receiving their bills via mail and pay electronically using our PayNow feature.
Critical information, such as address, marital status and insurance, can be changed by customers online
With IPayX, customers can update their records for you! This helps them avoid waiting on the phone or calling during non-work hours and you avoid the need to have a customer service agent manually take the information.
